
My story….where I got a second chance at life, and how it led me to being here….
It was after having had a breakdown several years ago, and then unintentionally crawling into the world of somatic practices that saved me. What unfolded was a gentle but profound transformation through Yoga Nidra Meditation, Breathwork, TFT & EFT tapping, and Loving-Kindness Meditation. These practices became and continue to be trusted compassionate companions ~ quietly supportive, deeply restorative, never demanding belief, and allowing me to always be exactly as I am.
Through them I found a way to move beyond lifelong trauma, anxiety, the looping patterns of low self-worth that had once felt impossible to escape, and the related trauma bonds that had kept me repeatedly drawn to a lifestyle and relationships that weren’t in my best interests.
What I discovered instead was a calm inner wellspring of clarity and beauty, inner wisdom and lightness, self-trust, and peacefully joyful connection to my true Self. In that place, I came to see that I am inimitable. And so are you ~ beautifully and celebratorily so.
I also learned that letting go of unhelpful patterns isn’t just a single event, but a gentle cyclical process that keeps us fresh and flowing. And that much like the seasons, the inner life sheds, and rests, buds, and blooms, again and again. Which I’ve come to welcome as a kind of emotional decluttering that’s as natural as caring for and beautifying my home and sweeping away fallen leaves. Personally, it was an aha moment, and gently reminds me that we are nature ~ not separate from it, but woven into its rhythm with our own unique rhythm ~ and so there’s no need to rush.
Along the way, I’ve met wonderful souls whose presence has been a gift in itself. And I’m gratefully aware of the unbidden appreciation in me for the loveliness this new path keeps showing me ~ the many genuinely kind and loving people that exist in the world, my sense of connection to all beings, my ever growing equanimity and resilience, inner peace and outer synchronicities, and the possibilities that consistently unfold. Honestly, getting to watch my inner landscape continually reflected in my outer life has felt a bit magical at times.
Since then, it’s been both a joy and an honour to share these practices with others, and to witness the shifts, softenings and sparks of self-discovery that inevitably arise in their journeys.
Today, I’m delighted to be able to say that I have a vocation as a somatic practitioner, specialising in TFT (Thought Field Therapy) & EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), more commonly known as tapping, alongside Breathwork and Yoga Nidra Meditation (also called NSDR, or Non-Sleep Deep Rest). These modalities are also science-backed as well as heart-led, and are gently powerful ~ supporting the release of emotional blocks, the regulation of the nervous system, and the restoration of balance to body and mind. They work biologically, energetically, and neurologically ~ opening space for healing.
